LuminWork ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services. Please read it carefully. We may collect the following categories of personal information: • Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), profile picture, and role (job seeker or employer). • Professional data: résumé content, work experience, education, skills, certifications, and cover letters you submit. • Usage data: pages visited, search queries, job applications, clicks, device type, IP address, browser type, and time zone. • Communications: messages sent through the Platform, support tickets, and feedback. • Third-party data: information received when you connect via Google OAuth (name, email, profile photo) in accordance with Google's privacy terms.
We use your information to: • Provide, operate, and improve the Platform and its features. • Match job seekers with relevant job listings using our recommendation engine. • Send transactional emails (job alerts, application status updates, account notifications). • Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support. • Analyze usage trends and improve user experience. • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents. • Comply with legal obligations. We will not sell your personal data to third parties.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for a longer period.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Platform at your own risk. Please safeguard your account credentials and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

LuminWork is not directed to children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.
